Br. Maurice Omollo Gor CP, is a Religious Brother in the Congregation of the Passion of Jesus Christ, commonly known as Passionists. Currently he is residing at the the Tonga Children Orphanage in Homabay Diocese of the Southern part of Kenya. He has been so instrumental in trying to give some life in our Orphanage Home with his motto: “Home of Hope”. He has been staying together with our children to put some life and smile in them. Generally, it has been so hard on us like in any home where such less fortunate children are residing or taken care of here in Kenya. With the onset of the Covid 19, all institutions were drastically affected especially economically, and our orphanage was not left out. Amidst all these, Br. Maurice has never given up to do something to pull up the life situation at the Home of Hope.. The government has been working on another way with the intention to reduce children living in Orphanages where real family life upbringing may be lacking in most of its faces. The government hence communicated that children in the Orphanages to be be helped to live with Existing families, where the will experience natural love and care and hence the care they are to be accorded shod be given to their foster parents. Only those who are in very critical situations in life, eg their health situations need close monitoring should reside in Orphanage Homes.

This was only a vision of the government but it does not seem to work so smoothly with foster parents for their lack of funds to facilitate this. Hence, eventually, a number of children, are gradually rescued back to Orphanage Homes.

We call upon all our well wishers and people of goodwill to extend some little love to these little souls, by making you Donation via the Pay Pal at the Front page.
