Blessed Pio Campidelli was born into a humble farming family and entered the Passionist seminary at age 14. He was known for his deep prayer life, obedience and joyful spirit.
Taking the name Pio of St. Aloysius, he lived with humility and great devotion to the Passion of Christ. Just before his ordination, he became seriously ill with tuberculosis and offered his suffering for the Church and the Pope. He died at only 21, leaving behind a powerful example of holiness and dedication.
